Concerning Kits...

If your cat is going to have kits, then you should at least have an idea about how many she will birth. Don't make the number unreasonable. Each of the kits should have a different kind of coloring, at least somewhere on their body. And if your kit is born from two members of the same Clan, don't make them have unreal coloring either. There are many different types of coats for which you can find on most any search engine.

Since NPC's are allowed here, you may either get other people to play as the kits, or you can roleplay with them yourself. Remember that you have to wait at two weeks in real life before making the mother have the kits.
